This year has been a great year for Our Only World, and we wanted to share it with you all… (in no particular order):
- Our song and video have now spread to Mexico, Egypt and Uruguay. Thank you to the hard work and dedication of David Smart, John Case and team. Learn more here.
- We have sited MORE stations. We now have 3 in Penzance, 1 in Torpoint, Weston Super Mare, and more as far as Essex. So, we wanted to say a big thank you to Sea Changers’ Coastal Fountain Fund for your support.
- We have the funds to site sea walls in Padstow, Newquay and Port Isaac so we are working on these installations. Hopefully we will soon see more marine habitats developing on our tiles.
- We have produced 3 children’s books now; Yikesy Meets Gaia, Yikesy Meets Gaia with widgits for children who can’t read text, and, finally, Yikesy Meets Gaia: By the River
- We have 3 models of our water refill station; our stainless-steel model, the second model has a recycled plastic base, and thirdly, our mobile unit designed for festivals and sporting events.
- We have a 1st Class Degree Graduate from Plymouth University interning with our team as part of her Entrepreneurial Futures: Net-Zero Internship and Leadership Programme, please welcome Sophie!
- We were adopted by Plymouth University’s Marine Biology Association
- A big thank you to Maeve Jarret, our digital marketing expert, who helps us co-ordinate and publicise all of our projects
Aims for 2025
We are STILL on the hunt for the perfect site to install a wall mounted unit in a local Cornish sports club – FREE of charge. Thanks to a donation from the Mandy Thornton Trust, we are able to support a local club. Any ideas? Contact us today!
Similarly, we are looking for a brand to sponsor or collaborate with to assist with installing Water Refill Stations in new organisations
Our collaboration with Sea changers continues for another year
Complete our next 3 sites for our seAlive tiles and source funding for future sites!
