Supporting Conservation

In the past, we have sponsored 2 projects – firstly a sea grass project in Falmouth. Organised by Vikkie Spooner of Falmouth Harbour Board.  The plan is to harvest seed pods from the Flushing Seagrass bed in August, then put the harvested seeds into hessian bags. Once rotted down in the Seavive pod, they will be taken to Flushing Beach where they will be planted by divers or snorkellers into areas of seabed where the seagrass has been scoured.

We have also funded a boat-based survey through Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust – Photo ID of Marine life and human activity boat surveys are the only surveys of their type around Cornwall, conducted over the long term and systematically repeated, collecting holistic data on all megafauna species AND human activity.

We feel at long last, it is a privilege to support people working hard to protect our oceans and sea life
